Today marks one week since the worst day of our lives. The feelings and memories of last Tuesday are still so vivid, from giving my little girl CPR on our living room floor to walking out of the ER after saying goodbye only a few hours later. It all happened so fast that at times it doesn’t yet feel real, and at others, it feels like too much to take. We still hear her voice and see her smile everywhere we look, which can be both painful and wonderful.
The outpouring of love and kindness from so many family, friends, and beyond has been amazing. We can never say thank you enough to everyone who has helped us in so many ways. It is evident how much Maddie was loved and adored by so many. She truly had a unique gift for making people smile and feel her joy.
