Think Of Me…
The next time your little girl holds your hand
The moment she takes your face in her hands and kisses your cheek or your lips
When she asks you to come give her a hug and squeezes as tight as she can
As your baby lays her head on your shoulder while playing her game, reading her book, or playing with a toy
While she sings as loud as she can, off-key in the back seat of the car
When she asks you to pray for her or sing to her at bedtime as you tuck her in with her favorite toys and blanket
As she cries when she gets hurt and you hold her until she’s ok again
When she’s laughing at something on tv and wants you to watch with her
The time she’s fresh out of the bath and needs your help to dry her off and get her dressed
When you sit and stare at her then gently brush her hair out of her face to see her better
Think of me because I can’t do those things anymore and I miss it all.
Cherish your babies. Drink it all in. Spend time just looking and watching. Hold on tight
