Oh, sweet baby, I miss you so much. I thought I had lost the photoshoot I did with her for her Welcome to Logic School yearbook picture. I found them all in my old camera. So many of them show her personality and the funny faces she always made. A pretty dress and some well-worn tennis shoes fit her perfectly. She loved to twirl and play in the dirt. She’d ask for some makeup occasionally and pretty, curly hair, then she would plunge her hands into a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs getting sauce all over her face. She did not love me brushing her hair but still posed like a pro for pictures. She was so fun and so frustrating at the same time. So funny and so exhausting. She made me feel alive by constantly teaching me lessons in simple joy, patience, forgiveness, and humility. She taught me not to take life too seriously, to let go of small frustrations, and to find a way to smile or laugh in every situation. It was such a relief to see them all again.
